Summer at Snowbowl

Summer operations are underway and the Scenic Skyride is growing more an more popular way to cool off this summer and the days are now hot. The Skyride is operating from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily. The average temperatures have been around 70 degrees at the top of the Skyride. At the top, we do have Interpretive Rangers giving presentations about the history and geology of this volcanic area. These Rangers have a vast knowledge of this area and will educate you about your surroundings.

But this is so much more to do and you can spend an entire day at Snowbowl enjoying the Coconino National Forest. We have an 18 basket Disc Golf course which meanders around the bottom of the ski area and was the host of the 2005 World Disk Golf Amateur Championships. We also have many hiking trails, even an easy 1/8 mile trail for the entire family to a picnic area just above the Agassiz Lodge.

Once you are done with all those activities, you can sit down for a bite to eat at the Peak Side Cafe on the deck. Or for dinner, head down to the Ski Lift Lodge for a great dinner. Either way, this is a great way to spend a day in Flagstaff.
